Crafting the Ultimate Solution for Hong Kong's Physical Education

To align with the development of Hong Kong's physical education curriculum, AI technology is leveraged to enhance sports teaching, fully implement required class hours, achieve personalized instruction, and improve the effectiveness of learning and teaching.

By deeply integrating machine vision with physical education, and combining IoT cameras with AI motion analysis algorithms, we promote the intelligent upgrade of playgrounds and sports facilities. This supports scientific training for students, individualized teaching, large-scale physical fitness testing, and standardized sports assessment.

Sports vision technology primarily conducts movement standardization analysis and sports data evaluation, automatically generating personalized exercise recommendation reports. This enhances teaching interactivity and engagement, boosts students' interest in sports and skill levels, and helps address issues such as the imbalance between youth physical fitness and academic development, as well as the shortage of physical education resources. It comprehensively aligns with the policy direction of sports development in Hong Kong.

AI Sports Solutions for Kindergarten / Primary School / Secondary School / University

Physical Education (PE) in primary schools will be incorporated into "Internal School Assessment" and will be implemented starting from the second semester of Primary 5 in the 2026/27 academic year. The internal assessment for primary school PE focuses on students' healthy development, emphasizing foundational abilities and objective, achievable health ratings.

The Education Bureau is committed to promoting the "Active School, Active People" (ASAP) initiative. This aligns with the World Health Organization's recommendation that children and adolescents aged 5–17 should accumulate at least an average of 60 minutes per day of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity (MVPA60) throughout the week. The initiative aims to foster a more conducive sports atmosphere on campus, encourage students to develop regular exercise habits early, and showcase their vitality and positive attitudes.

Looking ahead, I ROAD AI Sports will comprehensively explore and apply artificial intelligence across kindergartens, the Physical Education Key Learning Area Curriculum Guide (Primary 1 to Secondary 6), and universities. It aims to promote the effective use of AI by PE teachers during physical education classes and utilize the I ROAD system apps to help students achieve their MVPA60 exercise goals at home.
